Digitizing Photographs

Largely overlooked, the digitization process is one of the most critical in designing and manufacturing embroidered products. Our digitization process is one that focuses on both the esthetics of the subject as well as the artistic goals of our clients. One of our specialties is the digitization of animals. Below you can find examples of images displayed as their respective embroidered output. Yes! As much as these images look like photographs, they are actually embroideries of these animals. The process of digitization requires painstakingly exact manual color separation & analysis, as well as detailed knowledge of the characteristics of the animal and its physiology in order to ensure that the image when embroidered becomes dimensional. Please Note: The detail of each design is also dependent on the number of stitches and the size of the image. Smaller images with fewer stitches will look more 'pixelated' or fragmented than larger images.

Digitizing Non-Photographic Images & Drawings

Another way of approaching imagery work is to work with non-photographic images in the digitization process. Often we will have a sketch or a drawing, or even a cartoon. The quality of the results is very much like the images above, though the images don't look like photographs; rather they look like printed images. Much like above the manual color separation and analysis is critical to vivid results which will ensure the images appear dimensionally alive.
