Kenandy at [MC]2 in Dallas
This week, Kenandy headed to Dallas for the fifth annual [MC]2 conference organized by the Association for Manufacturing Technology (AMT) and the MTConnect Institute. It was an excellent technology event for manufacturers where attendees explored real world case studies on how technology is improving manufacturing operations and transforming business.
Are your systems ready for growth?
Our CTO, Rod Butters, gave a presentation, “The Connected Economy and the Connected Factory, Powered by the Cloud,” where he discussed the value of a connected ecosystem and the power of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).
While the Internet of Things (IoT) has been a hot topic recently, it’s most often been discussed in the context of the connected home, the connected car and emerging wearable technologies despite the fact that there are fascinating things happening in manufacturing with smart machines, the Industrial Internet of Things and machine-to-machine communications.
Manufacturers recognize the need for visibility and connectivity across their businesses, which is increasingly important as the connected factory becomes more prevalent. Having the right cloud technology and operational systems in place is critical for manufacturers that want to move ideas into action quickly, without the red tape of dated systems.
Rod demonstrated how cloud-based ERP systems are fully scalable for the connected factory and how IT innovation is transforming supply chain efficiency. He also emphasized how the connected economy enables companies to build relationships rather than just process transactions and that this is an opportunity for improving a customer’s experience.
Leveraging cloud technologies to connect employees, customers, partners and devices together is quickly changing markets and creating new ways of doing business. This fast paced environment can feel especially challenging for mid-sized companies but leveraging platforms like Kenandy’s cloud ERP can be a vehicle to drive product innovation and growth.
