Sandy Kurtzig Appears on CNBC’s Squawk Box


As a prelude to Mother’s Day, Sandy Kurtzig appeared on CNBC’s Squawk Box on May 9, 2014. Called “The Mother of Silicon Valley,” Sandy answered questions on an array of topics including:

  • Oracle and SAP
  • What Kenandy does
  • Women in the workplace
  • Sheryl Sandberg
  • Why she came out of retirement
  • Parenting

One of her notable quotes: When asked what’s bad about Oracle and SAP, Sandy responded, “There’s nothing bad about Oracle and SAP! They’ve just had their place, they’ve had their time. They’ve been a duopoly for a long time, but the world’s changed.”
